Dubai Basketball prepares for the biggest home game of the season against Partizan
Fresh off a dominant doubleheader at home, Dubai Basketball gears up for one of the most anticipated matchups of the season, as they take on seven-time ABA League champions, Partizan. Set to make history by hosting the Serbian powerhouse in Dubai for the first time, Coca-Cola Arena will be the stage for a thrilling showdown of skill, athleticism, and entertainment on Monday, March 17.
The only Middle Eastern team competing in the Adriatic League, Dubai Basketball has quickly made a name for itself, securing 17 wins with just 5 losses in their debut campaign against some of Europe’s toughest competition. Currently sitting fourth in the league standings, the UAE-based squad is riding the momentum of back-to-back home victories.
Led by Slovenian captain Klemen Prepelič, the team is determined to defend its playoff position in front of a passionate home crowd. With one of the largest crowds expected at Coca-Cola Arena, a highly-energized sold-out capacity game day atmosphere is anticipated. Dubai Basketball will look to capitalize on the passion of their supporters, as they seek redemption following a hard-fought 82-61 away loss to Partizan in Belgrade, earlier this season.
Star shooting guard and former Partizan player, Danilo Anđušić, shared his thoughts on the upcoming game: “As a team, we’re in great form right now. We continue to prove ourselves with every game, and this one will be no different. We give our 100% every time we step on the court, and the results speak for themselves.
“This time, we have the advantage of playing in front of our home crowd, and we’re excited to show them what Dubai Basketball is capable of. Their support has been incredible, and we need it now more than ever.”
Beyond the action on the court, fans can expect an unforgettable game-night experience. From high-energy performances by cheerleaders to jaw-dropping stunts, Dubai Basketball has redefined live sports entertainment in the region.
With record crowds anticipated, Coca-Cola Arena will be the place to be on Monday night, attracting sporting celebrities and basketball fans from around the world for what promises to be a historic moment in ABA League history.
