Final 2025 NASCAR Cup Series championship standings

As Kyle Larson claimed an unexpected title without leading a single lap, Denny Hamlin was forced to settle for second in the championship standings.

Ryan Blaney claimed the checkered flag with a pass on Brad Keselowski in the final corner, while newly crowned two-time Cup Series champion Larson finished third.

This year, 60 different drivers started NASCAR Cup races, but only 43 were eligible to score points. 35 drivers ran all 36 points-paying races on the schedule.

Chase secured his Briscoe best points finish ever, placing third in the final standings, while Hamlin walked away as the championship runner-up for the first time since 2010.

Joey Logano, who was unable to defend his 2024 title after missing the Championship 4, ended the year seventh in the standings.

2025 marked the first time Kyle Busch has finished outside the top 20 in the championship standings since becoming a full-time Cup driver two decades ago, placing 21st with a top five finish to end the year.

Rookie of the Year Shane van Gisbergen ended the year 12th in the standings, while a Wood Brothers Racing driver ended up last in the playoff standings (16th) for the second consecutive year. RFK Racing ended up as the best of the rest with Chris Buescher beating teammate Ryan Preece to be 17th in the standings, just as he was one year ago.

Cody Ware ended the year last among full-time drivers, 36th total points scored.
