Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson has affirmed his commitment to his current club, despite widespread speculation linking him with a high-profile summer transfer. The England international, reportedly valued at an astonishing £100 million by Forest, is understood to be a target for several Premier League giants, including Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal.Anderson, who has emerged as a pivotal figure for Forest since his 2024 move from Newcastle, is also anticipated to play a significant role in England’s World Cup campaign this summer. However, the 23-year-old remains focused on his immediate responsibilities."I’m just focusing on my football at the moment and performing and trying to give everything for Nottingham Forest, really," Anderson stated during a press conference ahead of the Reds’ Europa League play-off second leg against Fenerbahce. "So that’s all that’s on my mind."Reflecting on his tenure at the City Ground, Anderson added: "It’s been a big two years. I think I’ve done pretty well, to be honest, in the time I’ve been here, on and off the pitch. I think I’ve matured as a person as well. “Thanks to the club, really, for giving me that platform, going out there and playing and letting me do my stuff."His departure from boyhood club Newcastle was prompted by profit and sustainability (PSR) requirements, a move Anderson now views as crucial for his development. "Obviously in players’ careers, you never know where you’re going to be," he said. "Moving from your hometown is a big step in your career. And it was definitely something that I needed to do and it has turned out really well. So I was happy I made that step."Anderson’s impressive form has reportedly caught the eye of the England manager, who has reportedly seen him as a potential partner for Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice. While hopeful of securing a regular spot, Anderson acknowledged the competition: "I hope so. There’s just so many good players in the England team. Obviously, I’ve played this year, but I’m also needing to perform in the Premier League, in the Europa League, to keep the spot."The transfer rumour mill has also swirled around Anderson’s teammate, Morgan Gibbs-White, who has been linked with Manchester United. Forest boss Vitor Pereira dismissed the speculation, emphasising his players’ dedication. "I’m not hearing this. Every day is work. I feel they are very committed to our target, which is the most important thing," Pereira said.He praised both players, adding: "He is a top player, a captain; a top player with spirit. Elliot is the same – a top player with spirit. That’s why I accepted the job, because I have very good players. “We need to prove – every day with our work and on the pitch – we don’t just have talent in the team but we can also create a strong team together."Forest are on the cusp of securing a place in the Europa League last 16, holding a commanding 3-0 lead heading into Thursday’s second leg against the Turkish side.
