Fashion Trust Arabia's 2025 Winners Take A Next Step At Harrods

For emerging designers, industry recognition is important, but access is what’s truly transformative. This is precisely what Fashion Trust Arabia champions, and its latest London activation is a testament to that mission.

Following the announcement of its 2025 award winners, FTA has once again demonstrated its commitment far beyond the ceremony itself. On June 5, selected winning designers officially launched their collections at Harrods – one of the world’s most prestigious luxury retail destinations. Featuring ready-to-wear by Youssef Drissi’s Late For Work, eveningwear by Ziyad Buainain, accessories by Leila Roukni’s Talel, and jewellery by Farah Radwan’s FYR, the launch marked the fourth consecutive year of FTA’s partnership with the iconic Knightsbridge institution.

The initiative offers far more than international exposure. For designers navigating the competitive landscape of global fashion, a presence at Harrods represents a meaningful opportunity to connect with new audiences and establish a genuine foothold in the luxury market.

But the week’s ambitions extended well beyond the shop floor. Kicking off with an intimate cocktail reception co-hosted by Megha Mittal and Tania Fares, Co-Founder and Co-Chair of FTA, the evening gathered leading figures from fashion, culture, and the creative industries – among them Hamish Bowles, Harris Reed, Roksanda Ilinčić, Christopher Kane, Nicky Hilton and Peter Hawkings – in celebration of the MENA region’s emerging talent.

From June 2 to June 4, Harrods also hosted FTA’s mentorship programme, bringing together industry leaders to offer the winning designers practical guidance across branding, retail strategy, entrepreneurship, leadership and creative development. Speakers included Emilia Wickstead, Kenya Hunt, Lucien Pages, Sabrina Elba and Ida Petersson, among others. As Poppy Lomax, Head of Buying at Harrods, noted, the collaboration goes well beyond a traditional endorsement – it is a sustained investment in the designers’ growth and long-term trajectory.

The Harrods partnership reflects a broader shift within the industry – one that recognises emerging talent not as a niche category, but as an essential force shaping fashion’s future. As the 2025 winners take this next step, their presence in London serves as a reminder that talent truly flourishes when the right opportunities follow.
